Our decks are designed by structural engineers who are experts in load bearing, wind uplift and longevity construction issues. We only use premium quality materials to build our decks…like stainless steel fasteners with a proven track record of longevity and performance.

Custom Morrison Deck Our engineer works directly with each homeowner to predetermine the intended use of the deck and therefore designs a structure required to support your individual and/or family needs and imagination. Whether you want to include a hot tub, outdoor spa, pergola, picnic table or even an outdoor kitchen down the road, our engineering meets all governmental requirements.

All Morrison Contractors, Inc. decks are built with pressure treated pine as the supporting framework— which is required by Florida Building Codes. The topside and railing can be constructed using either exotic wood like Ipe, a PVC composite decking like Trex or #1 grade pressure treated pine depending on your personal preferences.

Custom Morrison Deck Wood decks can create a distinctive Southern feel and have a normal lifespan of about 10 years. Wood topsides, however, require regular cleaning, sealing and maintenance to keep it functioning well and looking good. Composite decking like Trex, requires no maintenance and lasts for well over 20 years. Trex is a leader in this industry; their products are created from recycled materials and recognized for their low maintenance and long-lasting beauty.
